简介
Lazy Susan's "Meaning Meets the Muppet" is a brain-child of Christopher Andreas Riedl, in collaboration with Duncan Galvin. Although the writing and preparation for this album took place between 2005 and 2008, the idea behind this project was to start and finish recording within two weeks. Recording took place only during the last two weeks of December, 2008. The story is told from one perspective, in one room, from beginning to end. The goal of such an approach was to envelope the listener in a consistent soundscape, that would invite you into an alternate perspective; namely the perspective of the two co-writers. Much of the sound is laced with unique qualities that derive from the characteristics of the space wherein it was recorded (15 x 10 x 9 cement room!), and the performances are often filled with improvisation. The personalities of Lazy Susan are in every note, as well as their doubts, joys, fears, and loves. An entertaining listen to say the least.
