Baldvin Snær Hlynsson is a 19 year old pianist/composer from Iceland. Having just graduated from high school he now spends his time playing jazz in local restaurants and clubs as well as playing salsa music with his newly formed band Salsakommúnan. He also plays as session musician with different artists both in Iceland in festivals such as Icelandic Airwaves, Secret Solstice and Sónar and abroad. Inspired by jazz and icelandic folk music he combines elements of both worlds in his music.
