Lars Trier and Karen Englund performed duo guitar and harpsichord throughout the 70ies and 80ies, their collaboration resulting in the present recording. Lars Trier has had a significant career as a Danish classical guitarist of international standing but was also part of the Danish socialist artist collective Røde Mor (Red Mother). Harpsichordist Karen Englund studied with Gustav Leonhardt but was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, later taking up a teaching position there.
