简介
Three weeks before their first gig, Jointmethod’s lead singer/rapper José “Zé” Suaste was stabbed in the chest and neck in a robbery and left for dead. After only three months of recovery, Zé and Jointmethod took the stage with a newfound determination and a creative mix of original beats and grooves behind hardnosed lyrics bringing a unique twist to hip-hop and rock. Shortly there after, the band sold out their first EP “503 Panhandle.” Original founders José Suaste and Emilio Muñiz have been touring all over Texas building a solid and loyal fan base, sharing the stage with such acts as Jurassic 5, Blackalicious, Dr. Octagon, G Love and Special Sauce, The Vanished, and The English Beat. Recently the band went into the studio to record their first LP “Roots and Wings.” The result was a record containing sixteen tracks that range from deeply thoughtful mellow grooves to old school skate punk anthems. Upon completion of the record, Zé and Emilio picked up drummer Joseph Braley, bassist Emsy Robinson, and guitarist David “Stitch” Rapaport of The Mothers Anger. Since then the band has toured all over the Southwest. “We feel the music is inviting and we want people to enjoy and get in on a different point of view. I see myself writing with substance that doesn’t stem from aggression, and the band as a productive group with positive energy that leads to positive results and progress,” explains Zé. The lyrical content makes you think while the music makes you dance. It’s an entertaining and unique live experience. Jointmethod is preparing to record their second LP and will be on their second national tour in May-June 08 with Mother’s Anger.
