SynClair West is an R&B/Pop artist whose influence and inspirations come from Pop and R&B greats such as Michael Jackson, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, and John Legend. The mood of his songs range from upbeat and "feel good" dance tracks, vengeful and dramatic mid tempo songs, to heartbreaking and melancholy songs revealing the sensitivity of his character. The music style in his more up-tempo songs are reminiscent of 90's Pop or House music (In songs such as "So Special"); However, he also provides a passionate and urban sound to his thoroughly beautified slower songs such as "La Jolla Rain" and "Hard 2 Breathe". The starting track "Beautiful Cruel One", is an angry, edgy hip-hop/urban song in which a devastated and consequently furious SynClaiR verbally "grills" an ex-lover concerning her obvious personality flaws and lack of morality. Overall, SynClaiR's music style is as diverse as his ever-changing moods in which his tenor, his baritone, or occasional falsetto are all used to express thoughts and feelings regarding a situation whether present or in retrospect. His incomparable voice and imaginative style make him an R&B/Pop artist in a class of his own.
