King Orchid has steamrolled into the Boston music scene with their impressive live performances, dedication, and song-writing talent. Zack Fierman and Doug Wartman met in college and decided in September 2008 that it was time to create something special, meticulously working at perfecting their style to competently control sound to the degree that a listener could forget that there are only two men performing. However, such a misconception is impossible due to their magnetic energy on stage, drawing all eyes and attentions into their orbit and along for a wild musical ride. With influences including electro-blues greats Jack White, the Black Keys, and Led Zeppelin, the instrumental prowess of Battles and Hella, and a dash of the progressive styling of the Mars Volta and RX Bandits, King Orchid’s music and performance is exhilarating and fresh, filled with passion and fury. 2010 found King Orchid releasing their first record entitled, "I Sound Much Better in the Sun". After multiple tours through the US, Zack and Doug started writing and recording what would become their most jaw dropping music to date. Their 2012 record, "For Battle," is the culmination of all that time and dedication. This new music has flung King Orchid down an uncharted sonic path. They would like you to follow.
