简介

“The performances that Boyd gives here are first-rate. Witness the drama of the opening Piazzolla or the mystery of bygone ages as evidenced by the Sculthorpe. Even the Bach is one of the best of its kind . . . Altogether this is a fine CD from a player who deserves to be heard.” – Classical Guitar Magazine (UK) “Boyd’s playing is beautifully refined, with gorgeous tone . . . musically and technically flawless . . . [the Granados] is one of the best recorded performances of this work on guitar.” - Soundboard (U.S.) One of the most talented guitarists of his generation, Australian born Rupert Boyd has performed throughout the United States, Spain, Italy, France and Australia, and among numerous prizes is the recipient of the Andrés Segovia Award from the Manhattan School of Music. Rupert Boyd has performed at some of New York’s most prestigious classical music venues, including the 92nd Street Y, Merkin Concert Hall, Bargemusic, the New York City Classical Guitar Society, Greenwich House and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (the world’s largest Gothic cathedral).
