A happy band of veteran cats, fRITZ bEER & the Crooked Beat still find fun, happiness and joy traipsing around the music business. When songs and sounds make you happy what can you do? Here the jolly group of funsters introduce themselves and the sound they are developing. It's an all acoustic sound, but played from a very rock-n-roll aesthetic. That rock-n-roll aesthetic pervades the songs; some are darker and brooding, others lighter and driving, but the feel is like watching a classic 4-piece band bang it out on stage - and it ain't like watching Folk. So you've almost got it all here, really; some beautiful strummin' guitars, nasty acoustic lead, excellent songs with a little attitude, cool harmonies, compelling rhythms, and just a real good vibe. No electrics though. No crunch. No blistering leads. No Super-Sub Bass. But, if you listen close, you can tell that is where this slightly twisted acoustic music came from. It's a fairly unique and interesting sound; an acoustic band that rocks.
