Welcome to the Audible Mainframe, where man meets machine to make music, where analog vs. digital is a way of life and EVERYTHING matters. Audible Mainframe assembled in Boston, MA in May 2003. The band spent the next 4 years garnering a reputation as one of the best live bands in town. Within the first year of existence AMF successfully defeated 35 rock acts to win a local Boston area Battle of the Bands which earned them the opportunity of being the first hip-hop act to ever perform live on-air at all rock radio station 107.3FM WAAF. Immediately after this, AMF was chosen among a pool of local up and coming acts to record their debut album on Emerson Records, home of the nation’s largest college radio station 88.9FM WERS. The result, “Framework,” debuted at #14 on the CMJ add list. In the summer of 2006 the band received the award for the "Best Live Act" at the first annual M.I.C (Mass Industry Committee) Awards, while their front-man Exposition took home the award for "Best Underground Emcee." These were perfect parting gifts for a band on the move. The following November AMF decided to pick up and relocate to Long Beach, CA where they cast themselves into the Los Angeles music scene. Since moving to California a lot has changed for Audible (most notably the departure of long time friend and saxophonist Bobby “Mobetta” Moriarty), but in typical Audible fashion the band has continued on by reinventing its sound to fit the lineup change. The boys have continued their tireless work schedule playing shows up and down the California coast, as well as Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Las Vegas, all while living up to the reputation they developed in Boston as one of the best live bands around. In August 2008 the band proved that their new lineup was just as potent by winning yet another Battle Of The Bands, which was sponsored by SoCal’s STAR 98.7FM and Long Beach’s Weekly Zine ‘The District .’ On top of Audible’s countless write-ups, critical acclaim, MySpace props and awards, the group’s knack for rocking crowds of all shapes, tastes and sizes remains its dominant accomplishment. In between their own studio albums and high-energy live shows, Audible lends its collective talents and versatility to other artists as well. On top of being fortunate enough to play with some of the best artists around including Common, Immortal Technique, The Coup, Lyrics Born, Arrested Development, and Damian Marley, the band’s most notable collaboration’s remain a tour stint as the backing band and opening act for the Legendary Slick Rick, as well as recording a live band re-creation of the classic hip-hop album “Dah Shinin’” with Smiff N’ Wessun. Aside from the debut album “Framework,” AMF also recorded the follow up EP “War To Be One,” which picked up where “Framework” left off while displaying the maturation of both band and sound. Audible Mainframe is currently at work on its 3rd studio album "Transients,” a project which promises to be the most comprehensive Audible album yet.
