After a brief hiatus, Combine the Victorious is back with a new collection of songs, the Crumbling Hearts EP. More electronic than their earlier works, these five songs represent the most refined and direct song writing from Henning and Dunlop. The discovery of Ableton Live helped share the direction of the new material, transforming the live show from an indie rock sound into something that straddles the world of DJs and live bands. They have been described as a hybrid of 70's legends Chic and the more pensive sounds of Portishead or Massive Attack. This EP is really just the beginning of their next full length album, scheduled for March 2013.
