Kat takes her vibrant vocals and soulful sax riffs, mixing retro and old-school grooves together to bring you her own unique sound. There is no one style or genre here but a fusion of R&B, Pop, Jazz and Funk that may recall artists such as Prince, Candy Dulfer and Tina Marie. "My Funky World" is a call toward a persons struggle to stay true to themselves and not cave in to conformity or the status quo. It also brings out appreciation of all people and a desire for peace. "Kisses Everyday" is Kat's nod to Prince's earlier dance tracks from the 80's. It's a song about the best of love, the excitement in keeping it alive, contentment in finding that one rare true partner. Kat, being a huge Hall and Oates fan re-creates the 80's hit "Adult Education" putting her own funky, jazzy Detroit stamp on it.
