简介
Singer/songwriter Hillary Hand's third EP Somebody Pinch Me is not only her first fully electronic EP, but also captures her completely. While being able to produce alongside Demian Sims (composer and producer at The Music Playground) she was able to encompass hip hop influenced beats with simple yet moving vocal lines that have shaped her most honest EP yet. With vintage quirks, intricate beats, haunting lyrics and wistful melodies, we remember the pop driven core from her previous EP's, but are also compelled to grasp the dewy twists that are truly their own shade of color. Surrounded by the textured melatron and vocal melodies, with soaring synths of "Don't," is a satirical message that there are no consequences to our actions. Hand also speaks of love as a choice that drives a feeling in the chorus line of "Hit The Ground" - "Ill keep it real, hold my hands on the wheel, go go go until my heart stops, slow slow slow until we flip flop," and encourages us to let our promises of love exceed our feelings to abandon it, amidst the torment in which it often creates. Her heart exposed, the songwriter includes her own personal conflicts with vibrant vocals and alluring chorus' that are as gripping as they are charming.
