From a very early age, you'd find her wrapped up in a book, reading late at night with a tiny flashlight under the covers. Staying inside during recess to put the final flourishing touches on her imaginative stories. Marvelling at the beauty of a haiku. Jason grew up hitting things. His first drum set consisted of an inflated beach ball, a metal shelf, and an overturned tupperware bin. His first sticks: suction cup arrows from a bow and arrow set. His first makeshift guitar: a hobbyhorse on which he rocked out to Steven Curtis Chapman’s "The Great Adventure". After two years of touring and performing together under Charmaine’s solo act, Jason & Charmaine have finally released their debut duo album, “Sunrise is Coming”. The album showcases what they do best: organic acoustic melodies, poignant vocals, and intimate writing. There is an unusual depth and quality in their lyrics, exploring faith and hope and life’s struggles.
