This 2nd Ep Includes Marc Mac (4 Hero ) Remix and another remix made by french producer Fulgeance. 24-Carat is a new live jazz project produced by Japanese producer, Shouhei Matsushita a.k.a. M-SWIFT. As M-SWIFT, he has released many 12 inch records and two CD albums of his soulful, dance music project. His first album Morning Light (released on Italian label, Irma Records in 2007) became a big hit in Japan. Many DJs such as Danny Krivit and Roger Sanchez put his songs on their playlists. Following on from that success, he then signed an album deal with Ponycanon, one of the major labels in Japan. To record his second album, he went to London. He invited Nick Cohen to be his co-producer and together they recorded the Evening Sun album featuring many great guests such as Tony Momrelle, Eric Roberson, Joy Rose, Donna Gardier, Marcus Begg, Vanessa Haynes and Tony Remy. The album earned a very good reputation and became a big hit in Japan. M-SWIFT went on to play at Tokyo Crossover/Jazz Festival with Gilles Peterson, Dego, Syuya Okino, Jazztronik, Jazzamar and more. His latest offering, 24-Carat is his new project, specialising in live jazz not only for listening but also for the dance floor. Featured pianist, Hideaki Hori has previously released 3 solo albums and has played with many big names such as Eddie Henderson, Gene Jackson and Masahiko Osaka. In this project, there is a interesting chemistry between Hideakis sense of traditional Jazz and Shouhei's sense of dance-music orientated club-jazz. Also featured is the uniquely styled drummer, Kazuhiro Oka. Furthering their collaborative relationship, Nick Cohen guests on this album as well, providing the bass. January 2009 sees the release of a 12 inch vinyl from 24-Carat on Jazzmin Records, Paris. The label has released a lot of jazz music including Sleep walker, Nu Tropic and others.
