These songs were written after joining a local songwriter's association. Two of these, "House in Lousianne" and "Things Will Be Allright" were written early on and the other two, "Back In The Black" and "She Waits" were written in one day in preparation for the songwriter's meeting the next day. Lousianne is an homage to House of the Rising Sun, a song which I learned early on as I picked up the guitar. It was very popular and had a higher level of proficiency required to play. "Things Will Be Allright" was written as I was recovering from shoulder-surgery. I was on a strong antibiotic and lived a few days in a zombie-like state. But the riff came to me one day on the way home from a doctor visit. Maybe I was wishing that things would get better! They did.

"Back In The Black" is a tribute to working people all over the world. They get up and do it over and over again (I've been there.) Trying to get ourselves "back in the black," financially. Finally "She Waits" is a tribute to single working moms everywhere. I have known many who struggled to make it and care for their kids at the same time. Sometimes seeming like it was impossible to succeed. Here's to you moms. Keep up the good work.
