Bruce Salmon is a New Orleans native, Texas raised musician, troubadour, and singer/songwriter. He’s a veteran of the Austin music scene (Alejandro Escovedo, Bob Schneider), who began performing as a solo artist in 2012.

His music is steeped in the Texas songwriting tradition, as well as New Orleans jazz, funk, and blues; and more recent studies of ancestral folk music from Eastern Europe. He plays hundreds of shows a year, including (most recently) the 30A Songwriter Fest, and the Dripping Springs TX Songwriter Fest.

Mr. Salmon released his first solo album “A Barrel of Monkeys”, in 2014. It was an eclectic effort, involving musicians from Austin, New Orleans, Israel and Italy. His sophomore release “Dreaming While Awake” (2016), is a 12 track collection; which he wrote, produced, and played every instrument on. Salmon is currently at work on his third album, in Austin and Alpine TX; and Destin FL.
