"King Of The World" Is the most recent chapter in the Awake At Last Discography. Their most innovative EP to date, a genre expansive blend of songs bringing together all of the elements that inspire passion in hope in young adults in the 21st Century. Fusing elements of metal, hardcore, pop, and even some neo-classical electronica, the Americana rock outfit takes a new turn and brings a new level of passion while maintaining their signature edgy rock and roll roots all held together with strong catchy and haunting melodies. With these new songs and this new sound the Rock Quartet hopes to display the bands remarkable growth and maturity in this ever changing Music Industry. King Of The World begins by creating a scene using a haunting melody that echoes memories of lost love, hard times, and even the unbearable feeling of losing someone truly dear to oneself. It tells a story from a stand point hopefully anyone can relate to, and focuses on all the things young adults struggle with in this new era we live in but outlines the fact that no matter how hard things may seem or how much it hurts to lose someone, or something, or some opportunity that as long as you can stand back up and fight through you can conquer anything. When listening to the CD the group hopes that the listeners can reminisce on when they struggled with similar things and find the strength necessary to power through. A Tale of living, loving, losing, and rising to the challenges to meet life head on all told through dynamic arrangements and fueled by Vincent's emotionally charged and passionate vocal melodies.
