简介

Behold, a life is told as his life unfolds. Enter the Unauthorized Biography of Patrick J Wilcox. This album has masterfully woven the deep essentials for musical survival. A touch of spirituality, a sash of socially awareness, traces of funk, while embedded in class, style, within the Conscience of golden age hip hop. As stated before, this is not your grand-daddy's music. However, the lack of the "explicit lyrics content" label makes this album available to all listeners of all ages. Rated "G", for greatness, this album clearly sets itself apart from its status quo "Pop" hop contemporaries. Although the production for this album is solid, the crown jewel inarguably lies within its lyricism. With lines such as "I know I'm nicer than you young timers, simply my intellect alone is a one liner, my metaphors is an inspiration for yours, I can see clearly the paths less traveled, when it rains, it pours, see, I want more, youngin', but status ain't the issue, transparent to the touch, so deep, it might miss you, Fortress of Solitude an Abyss, peaceful and bliss, paradise revealed through God's heavenly kiss.." Mr. Wilcox substantiates beyond a shadow of a doubt that his roots pinpoints a "Paid in Full" MC. Derrions' theme touches on the senseless brutality of black on black crime in urban America. Purgatory forms to address the issue of why are there more fallen souls on the Southside of Chicago Illinois than in Eastern Iraq. Sacrifice for the game pays homage to the soul of years past. Conscience delivers a message so funky, that it could make the dead dance upon first listen. Lyricism match swords on the Expendables track. Purgatory is personified. Aided with fellow partner in rhyme, Op-Solo, the duo makes the aura very uncomfortable for the cypher MC. However, lyrical supremacy ends with a stalemate, so Conscience performs a noble act in stating "A Sacrifice like ValHalla Rising in the end.....FA SHO". Very good at the least and a masterpiece at best, this Unauthorized Bio resonates a good vibe throughout the Hip hop community. From the Introduction to the last track, this album unquestionably passes the "Gold standard test": bury this album in ground, and excavated it a century from now, and it is guaranteed to be worth more and more relevant in the future, than what it is now.
