Aditya Hridayam (Kareem Raïhani remix): * Vocals & Guitar by Satyadev Barman * Remix by Kareem Raïhani Aditya Hridayam Punyam Sarva Shatru Vinashanam Jaya Vaham Japam Nityam Akshayam Paramam Shivam A literal translation: This holy hymn dedicated to the Sun deity will result in destroying all enemies and bring you victory and never ending supreme bliss. These lines are part of a bigger Stotram recited by the sage Agastya to Rama in the battlefield to provide him courage and strength in the heart in his war against evil. ‘One should ideally chant this mantra facing the rising or the setting sun. One can literally ‘massage’ the rays into the physical and pranic bodies while chanting this mantra, all along seeking the Sun's protection and blessings...almost like donning an armour of sunlight. I received this mantra from my Guruji, Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath, around 15 years ago’. Of the two versions of the mantra in the original album, one for the morning (sunrise) and one for the evening (sunset), Kareem has remixed the evening version.’ – Satyadev Barman 'Aditya Hridayam' by Satyadev Barman was previously released on the album ’MPower - Mantras for Everyday’, produced by Satyadev Barman.
