简介
"Didactic Interstice: Equilibria Vol.1" follows the successful and critically-acclaimed independent releases of Soulganic’s 2007 debut “All Directions Forward” and 2009’s “From the Storm to the Sun.” As with their last release, the band had a hand in every step of the process, with “Didactic Interstice” being written, composed, arranged, performed, produced, engineered, recorded and mixed by Soulganic, with mastering done by Charlotte-based music industry veteran Joe Kuhlmann of Muse Media. “Didactic Interstice” takes the band’s trademark sound back to its roots. The record is built upon “the concept of space,” says lead vocalist and bassist Anthony Rodriguez, “and letting the music breathe” - a collection of original songs that is sparse, earthy, organic, and full of soul and emotion. With lyrics commentating on subjects as diverse as empowerment, disenchantment, longing, desperation, passion, voyeurism, self-deception, refugeeism, loss and young love, through “Didactic Interstice” Soulganic continues to challenge the audience's perception of personal and social issues. Together since 2005, Soulganic - comprised of drummer/keyboardist Cory McClure, guitarist Ryan McKeithan, lead vocalist/bassist Anthony Rodriguez and percussionist Lucas Torres - has garnered an underground reputation for crafting brand of music dubbed Funky Indie Soul: an earthy, gritty, organic blend that liberally infuses Latin, jazz, blues and rock elements into the mix. With “Didactic Interstice,” the band looks forward to the continued spread of their message to music lovers worldwide. “We’re really excited to present our vision this go round,” says Rodriguez. “We hope what comes across is how much we enjoyed making this album, and that when the listener’s done, they can’t wait to dive in again.”
