Inspired by the resolve, community and love shown by so many in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, this song is in tribute to all who will not allow violence to obstruct the heart of this great race, this great city, and this great nation. I’m Jimmie Lunsford, a singer/songwriter raised in Indiana, formerly of Portsmouth, NH, now from San Diego, CA. “26 Miles” begins upbeat and encouraging, reflects momentarily on the somber, ends uplifting, and is dedicated to those killed or injured for merely being great citizens enjoying America’s freedom by supporting one of America’s greatest events.
