The Rice Brothers are a Columbus, Oh- based Fusion-Folk Band started in 2011 by brothers David & Patrick Rice and music journeyman, Patrick Buzzard. They have broad influences in Celtic Folk, Americana, Rock & Country. These boys are full of energy, harmony and passion for the music they share and enjoy every moment while taking the stage together. Their Resume includes performances at Dublin Irish Festival, Pittsburgh Irish Fest, Lancaster Festival, ForeFest, Shamrock Music Festival, Concert on the Creek and they have supported National Touring acts like Willie Nelson, Avett Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show, & Carbon Leaf. The Rice Brothers Debut Record, “Live at Byrne’s Pub” is due out at the End of February 2016. It then will be followed up with a DVD Release in Spring 2016 and a Studio Record Release in August – both projects with Grammy-Award Winning / Platinum Selling Producer, Michael Landolt (Curry House Records). The Fella’s were also chosen as one of only 10 bands worldwide to be Showcased at the Association of Irish and Celtic Festivals Conference in St. Paul, Minnesota back in May and are planning a killer 2016 / 2017 Tour. The Boys: David Rice is a Singer / Songwriter from Bexley, Ohio. David has a very eclectic and diverse musical influence. He lies somewhere on the road where Bob Dylan meets Vivaldi, where Green Day meets John Denver , where David Grey meets Tommy Makem. As a kid, David was immersed in what he calls "bedrock music" as a classically trained Double Bassist and an actor/singer in the Musical Theatre World. He used those musical building blocks he picked up along the way and now applies them to his guitar playing, composing and performing. He currently lives in Dublin, Ohio and has 5 Children (all under 10!) Patrick Rice is also from Bexley, Ohio and has played violin since he was 6 years. As the son of a musical mother he tagged along to countless rehearsals and concerts as a kid and later performed in dozens of Orchestras and Theatrical Projects. All of that laid the groundwork for the musician he is today. He is the father of 4 kids and splits his time between Family, Sales and Music. Patrick Buzzard is the third “brother from another mother” and he is from near Pittsburgh, PA. As a Universal Records Recording Artist, Pat brings experience and keen writing and producing skills to the project. He has appeared on MTV and PBS, as well as earned him and his band (Saving Jane) 2 singles that landed on the Billboard Top 40 charts. Pat is an accomplished guitarist and singer in his own right and splits his time between his son & family, producing and playing music and as Host of the Podcast, “The Rock and Roll Book Club”.
