简介
Born and raised in Alamogordo, New Mexico, Karen Lafferty is probably best known in the Christian world as the author of the scripture chorus "Seek Ye First." This song is found in most major hymnal books used in Christian churches worldwide today. Karen's public performance began during her teenage years and earned a Bachelor of Music Education at Eastern New Mexico University. Karen has recorded 7 albums and is active in performing and teaching around the world. Currently she is the director of Musicians for Missions International (A ministry of Youth With A Mission) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. (NOTE: For more details go to www.MusiciansForMissions.com) A Note from Karen Dear Friends, Having been a "musicianary" for many years, I have had the privilege of fellowshipping with Christians from many nations. What amazing creativity and uniqueness I have observed. Each people group offers tribute to God in their own unique way. It has been fun, moving, educational and enlightening to join with believers around the world in times of worship. The instruments they use range from dijereedoos, log drums and wooden flutes to accordions, violins, and bagpipes. This recording celebrates a few of the musical styles from around the world that have become expressions of worship and testimony. (There are so many more!). My prayer for you, as you listen, is that you will discover the beauty, excitement, and reverence that the diversity of sounds and cultures can bring. May you be blessed by the way the Believers in these nations offer their praises to God. In the Grace of Christ, Karen Lafferty Introduction to "Multitudes - The Sound of Many Nations" There will be worship before the throne of God...from every tongue and tribe and nation they will come... all those who have believed, trusted and followed Jesus, the Christ. As God the Father had mercy on the falleness and confusion of mankind, He sent His only Son, who showed us what God is like and then laid down His life that we might live. All who have loved Him, both those who have seen Him and those who have believed the testimony of God's Word, will on that day see Him face to face.... and will worship... because He is worthy and has kept His promise, just as He said. He will wipe away every tear. Pain and suffering will be gone and we will live in the joy of the presence of our God FOREVER AND EVER!!! While on this earth, we will seek to honor our God and love each other as we look to the day we will join in worship with the Multitudes.... The Sound of Many Nations.
