Christian and Matthew Hamel are the children of Pastor Glenn & Vera Hamel. Having grown up in the church and serving right along side their parents, Christian and Matthew have developed a deep love for Jesus and for worship. Christian started taking guitar lessons at age 5 and now serves as the lead guitarist for Promise Land Ministries' "Real Church." Matthew is the lead drummer at Promise Land and often sings, as well as plays the guitar. Having decided to serve God with their music in a greater capacity, these two bothers started the band Seven7h Way. They play and sing cover songs as well as originals composed and written by them. Seventh Way got its name from both Christian and Matthew. Understanding that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life the band wanted to signify there is but one way. The Seventh comes from the fact that God's number in 7, that He rested on the 7 day, and that the number 7 represents wholeness. Therefore the name Seventh Way is based on the understanding that it has to be God's Way, that Jesus is the only Way, and that music that exalts the Lord brings wholeness. It is Seventh Way's desire to Glorify the Lord and to lead others in honoring Jesus. Their greatest hope is that the Lord will use their music to draw the lost to Him.
