简介
Singer/guitarist Al Clogston (aka Albo) is a Wimbledon based folk singer, guitarist, actor and jazz pianist. He is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford, Connecticut, USA where he studied voice and Music Education. Al first developed his love of folk music while attending summer camp in the Maine woods where they sang regularly at meetings, meals, and around campfires. Much of his repertoire comes from this period. Al now sings a mixture of camp songs, folk songs, 1960’s folk revival songs, nursery rhymes and original songs for kids. He first began writing songs for children in the early 1990’s. Some of these became the basis for his kids’ musical, Booga-Booga! which has been produced twice in the USA and professionally in the UK at the Putney Arts Theatre in 2003. Al’s folk series, Little Folk with Albo has been a popular Friday morning feature at the Wimbledon Public Library since September of 2012. He is now taking his concerts to the Colour House Children’s Theater in the historic Merton Abbey Mills complex in Colliers Wood, England, UK.
