Music has been the life of Steve McCoy since the age of 10. It was then he experienced his first gospel concert featuring the Winans and knew; he too, wanted to minister the gospel through music. His father was a minister and held a lead role in the musical aspects of the Church of God and Christ, which provided Steve McCoy with the opportunity to perform on stage with some of the greatest gospel performers of today. Performers like; CeCe and BeBe Winans, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, the late Rev. James Moore, Pastor Rance Allen, The Clark Sisters and many many more. Steve performed as a member of the Thomas Whitfield and Company of Detroit, MI with four lead songs. While ministering he was invited to fly to Las Vegas, NV to perform on the Dr. Bobby Jones 'New Artist Retreat' Showcase show back in December of 1998. After leaving the Whitfield Company, Steve's drive for his music ministry depleted. That was until his wife, Jennifer, received a vision from God. That vision compared Steve to Peter. It was Peter's stepping out on faith that led him to walk on water. God was telling Steve to step out on faith and continue ministering the gospel as a solo artist. He did, and in the summer of 2002 he completed his first solo project, "RENEWED". The release of the new solo CD lead to Steve performing live in concert in Battle Creek and to the husband and wife team creating their gospel management company called, Trifold Music Group! Since that time, Steve McCoy has appeared on local radio and television stations, promoting and performing songs from his newly release CD.
