Rebecca Kolland meetz Rens Newland, Rens Newland and Rebecca Kolland knew each other already a couple of years before they started this project! Here the history: Rens as guitarist and producer is an important and longtime driving power for the Austrian Funk, Jazz and Pop scene! 1999 Rebecca sang in the background choir of Gina Charito band, lead by Rens. Then hey lost sight of each other for some time, but 2001 they met again and und Rens wrote and produced a song for a sampler in corporation with the Austrian Radio, and Rebecca sang it successfully. After that Rens decided to try to build up Rebecca as an artist. He involved her in live-concerts and in his Bizzy Man Studio they started to work on interesting titles („Impact Project“). Soon Rebecca was also asked for other Jazz- und Soul projects (a.o. with Hans Salomon or Tomi Böröcz) and she decided to make music professionally. The big audience started to take notice of her as she appeared in "Starmania"(Austrian „Idols“), where she made a very good impression as extraordinary talent, or later in other TV shows like "Wahre Freunde" where she does lead vocals in the band. The songs on the album show the jazzy side of Rebecca, of course with funky und souly journeys! They are harmonically rich and rhythmically exciting. Rens Newland set the lyrics of the Canadian singer and poet Lionel Lodge to music, prepared, arranged and worked out precisely, played by his great fellow musicians - some of the best in Austria Line up: Rebecca Kolland leadvox Rens Newland el & ac g, backvox Oliver Gattringer d, Willi Langer b, Martin Wöss p, Luis Ribeiro perc.
