简介
Safe Harbor - Healing KIrtan - Mahaprasad Traditionally sankirtana, or kirtan, as we refer to it in the West, is a form of devotional chanting, sung in a call and response fashion, from India. As in the evolution of country music, kirtan is an expanding category that has grown to include many subgenres and styles, as different artists explore its many dimensions with new rhythms and melodies. I have incorporated traditional melodies with new ones arising in my heart. The Mahalakshmi Ashtakam is a very auspicious traditional chant to the goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of spiritual and material wealth. This ancient hymn brings abundant blessings to any environment where it is chanted. May you be blessed by the healing intention that is the basis of this recording. Mahaprasad means "the highest fruits of spiritual blessings."
