简介

Kiwanee was born on Nov. 15th, in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from University City High School. She has always loved music. In fact, she was singing by the age of four, playing piano by ear at the age of five, and writing her own songs by the age of eleven. Kiwanee's vocal roots were seeded in the church choir as a small child. Later, she sang in several talent shows, weddings, and musicals, eventually landing her the lead role of Dorothy in her high school's musical presentation of "The Wiz". This of course led to a host of other events showcasing Kiwanee's talents and young star quality. Musically motivated, she wrote and recorded her first single, Gotta Be Me, at the age of fifteen with the help of James Love and J Love Entertainment. Soon after, Kiwanee decided to put her music pursuit on hold in order to achieve her educational goals first. She went on to graduate from the University of Missouri-Columbia (B.A.) and the University of Missouri-St. Louis (M.Ed.). While in college and after, Kiwanee continued to sing whenever there was an opportunity. Kiwanee has since shared the stage with both local and national artists. Her impressive performance resume includes the likes of: CoCo Soul (opened for Mint Condition), Cjay Conrad (opened for India Irie), Wild Man, Nikko Smith (Twilight Tuesdays), Seviin Lii (Twilight Tuesdays), MoTre (opened for Dru Hill), and Al B. Sure. Kiwanee has also shared the stage with several local bands including Soul Alliance, Enflyte, Elements of Soul, The Remedy, and Love Jones the Band. With the help of MoTre, Where U Want 2 Be Ent, and Reign, Kiwanee has continued pursuit of her passions as a vocalist, songwriter, and performer. Her debut single, Luvin You, illuminated the booth and was first featured on MoTre's "Married 2 The Muzik" R&B mixtape to the buzz of over 200K downloads (#1 in the US). The soulful jazz-infused songbird continues to bless the mic and share the stage with MoTre, having a much welcomed impact on their musical success. In return for her influence behind the scenes as well as on stage, MoTre has featured Kiwanee on multiple projects. The most popular was their remix of Melanie Fiona's "4 AM". Her performance on the remix was simply perfect. Kiwanee is now officially presenting herself as a solo artist, bringing a jazzy, sultry vibe for all to hear. Her debut single, Luvin You, is sure to bring musical pleasure to your ears.
