Hi, my name is Cole and I'm twelve. I hope you like the first song I ever wrote, it's called I Love the Rain. My five brothers and sisters live in the desert of Southern California. It doesn't rain much here. But when it does, my whole family just lights up! I listen to the rain in my room and watch my brothers and sisters take off their shoes, run outside and dance in the puddles. As I lay in my bed, the uncontrollable patterns I hear from rain remind me of my life. I especially think about my dad. Two years ago, Dad was killed by a drunk driver. It's been hard, but I find that singing and playing music helps me deal with it a lot. I guess we could all use some cleansing sometimes, so maybe that's why... I Love the Rain.
