soleDrummer brings you downtempo, chilled out drums, bass, pianos, organs and synths, intertwined with jazzy brass solos, and mixed with exotic instruments such as the Indian dilruba, the Arabic oud, the African percussion. To add a new atmospheric dimension, soleDrummer through "small talk" also layers a variety of slice-of-life world sounds from children playing in a schoolyard in Indonesia, to Buddhist chants, to Indian choruses and throat singers. Jean-Luc Godard once said "It’s not where you take things from — it’s where you take things to.” soleDrummer draws inspiration from a multitude of sources from deep house, jazz, trance, world music, and blends all these ideas and sounds in a creative way thus blurring the boundaries of genres.
