Releasing As I Walk as the 13th release on MFR Records, you would think that 25 year old producer Sankuh would have bad luck, but with a generous five track EP with a sound ranging from deep house to hints of disco bad luck has nothing to do with it. The EP starts light with the first track As I Walk providing a beautiful summery vibe, opting for male vocals to accompany the deep house track as appose to typical female you will definitely hear lots more musicality on this track. Refusing to kill the summer vibe 1233 provides a slow thumper of a record with warped vocals and synths giving an overall classy sound. Skipping midway through the EP What We Do is a cheeky disco number from the North London producer, soaked in claps and jazzy keys and makes way for The Freak. Providing listeners with a darker but still lightly layered track that blends some house productions with some spacey and almost creepy chopped vocals The Freak is not to be slept on. Ending the EP with the playful They Got, Sankuh takes his productions to a new level with moody arrangements involving deep bass lines and vocal drama.
