I believe that music is a unique gift from God. Everyone connects to it in different ways, yet the world is unified through it. It can evoke every emotion of the human experience, lifting the broken soul to soaring heights. That’s why I love what I do. I write, sing, and produce my own music and for others. I DJ for private events and weddings. And with every song I create and every record I spin, my focus is on the experience, seeking to build rather than break, praise rather than condemn, and reach souls wherever they are to lift them to heights they never thought they could reach. I’m a husband to my beautiful wife Cherelle, as well as father to my amazing son Desmond. But greatest of all, I am a child of the King and have a heart for Jesus and His people, and music is how I primarily share that joy with others. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I was raised as a foster child. Blessed with one loving family, I did not have to move from house to house as so many others in my position did. Although money and resources weren’t easy to come by, my family made sure that I was well educated and that I would be accepted into college when the time came. I started singing at a very young age, and eventually started writing songs in middle school. In high school, I became heavily involved in anything where my singing voice could be used. I also picked up poetry, which helped me continue to develop his songwriting. By the time I graduated from Bodine High School in 2006, I had written several albums worth of songs, performed at numerous school events, and was even selected to sing at my graduation. I picked up piano and music production while attending Arcadia University, where I studied Computer Science with a minor in Music. I also became classically trained in voice and even directed the gospel choir at the college. Even with a life I felt was on track , there was still something missing from my life that I knew would need to be filled for me to truly be able to enjoy it – Jesus Christ. Always having a hunger for a relationship with God but never truly embracing it, I finally accepted Christ in the winter of 2009, and was baptized the following summer of 2010. When I’m not working full time or spending time with family and friends, I’m making music, playing video games, and doing my best to exemplify Christ.
