With pulsing beats, both acoustic and programmed, emotion drenched vocal samples and ethereal melodies, this project explores the power of slow and steady magic, channeling the deep connection to the earth, the ancestors, and the spirits. From the opening "Parable of Mama Lila" to "What Is My Name?", which mixes acid bass and jazz piano chords to the driving Motherland rhythms of "Ancestors", each track goes further to describe both method and impact of a very specific type of alchemy.
