I grew up in a small, poor village in Nigeria West Africa. My father divorced my mentally unstable mother and abandoned me, my brothers, along with my mother in the village when I was only two years old. Without shoes, cloths, food, or access to clean water, surviving in the village was not an easy task. On several occasions, me and my brother cried for many days at a time because of hunger. We ate food from trash cans, and walked around the streets and begged for food. My older brother could not survive, so he passed away when we were kids. It was then that I started singing and composing music as a form of therapy. Despite the struggles, I put myself through school and graduated from UCR in USA. After graduating from college with a degree in biological sciences, I found myself jobless, and homeless. I wrote this song “Good Day” when I was homeless. My goal as an artist is to inspire and uplift as many people as possible. We all have obstacles, and in most cases we do not choose our obstacles. However, we have a choice to choose how we react to our life experiences. I have chosen to live my life with gratitude and hope. I believe that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel no matter the struggles we face in life. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, I hope you have a beautiful day.
