简介
Gudmundur Ingi Gudmundsson, born 1970, has been making music for almost 20 years under the synonym Murya. Until recently he has been working, polishing and mastering his musical technique in the shadows of his own basement. In the year 2009 his first release saw the day of light as the track Grey Daze got noticed by the highly-respected Ultimae Records through Myspace and featured on their compilation entitled Imaginary Friends. In 2012 he released the highly acclaimed single Crystalline Substances on Moeller Records. In recent years he has been working on his true passion 80s style synthpop. Under the synonym Buspin Jieber he explores in depth the passion of his youth with a twist of interesting modern programming. The first track "Synth Love" is an 80's beauty - exploring the relationship between man and machine. With intense synthlines and plated snares, it's a journey of two and a half minutes of emotions. The second track is the mysterious "Night Drive". It starts with a thumping kick and little by little elements starts adding on. It's a a feast for the ears - a reminiscent of the works of Jon Hopkins & Giorgio Moroder. "Magnetics" is an moody synthpop track which is full of surprises. The blissfull chillwave tune "Monday 101" shows us that gloomy Mondays is something to cherish. It's a time of retrospective. It's complex, sad and beautiful at the same time - reminiscent of works of Boards of Canada & Com Truise. "Atlantic Contentment" is a slow and beautiful track - reminiscent of BoC, but with a hint of Buspin Jieber's own special touch. The track is the calmness after the storm - an end of a journey. The drive in the darkness ends with a sunrise.
