A collection of new music to encourage and inspire. As you go combines hymns, prayers, verses and new words reflecting on aspects of Christian life. The music for this CD contains original compositions, many of which have been written by the choir's current musical director, Heidi Cottrell. And whilst the tunes are all new, many of the words will be familiar with well-loved hymns such as ‘O Jesus I have promised’ being featured. As you go captures the passion for worship that BMYC are praised for again and again at our concerts. We hope this CD will provide inspiration to worship God and continue our mission in song. The CD includes music for all occasions, with the Christmas themed ‘A noble lullaby’, a setting of the Gaelic blessing ‘Deep peace’ and ‘The door’ ideal for opening of or celebration of Church buildings. In 2012 BMYC celebrated 30 years of music. Since their first performance in John Wesley's chapel 'The New Room' in Bristol, they have sung throughout the UK, USA, Germany, Italy, and Ireland. The young singers (aged 16-27) come from all over Britain to share their Christian faith and love of music with local churches.
