This album gets it's start from a question; What does a house contain? Yes, a house is a physical structure, made of wood and stone; but at the same time, it's a repository of memories, of stories, of emotion. Within this frame, APL takes trips into politics, childhood, and relationships but comes back to a bookended notion of a room, in a house and what it holds. Stealing from folk guitar pickings, Reggae beats, and chamber folk intensity, an eclectic but sustained sound helps to deliver a tour through the chez de APL.
