King De La Rosa is a well known Dominican style accordion player in the merengue circuits. His Father Yan De La Rosa, went around playing with his band in the country of the Dominican Republic in the 40's and 50's. Many musicians have tried to imatate the KING. But this album sets the record straight on who owns the thrown of merengue tipico. It is his first release ever. "El Jiro Y El Canelo" which is included in this CD, was one of his biggest hits.
