Lennon Hayes Jr., known professionally as Lucid Haze, is an electronic musician, writer and producer. Lucid creates sounds that can be described as dark, yet playful and inspired by old school hip-hop with a touch of abstract funk. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Haze learned to produce juke music at the age of 12. He continued to flourish under the tutelage of some of the hottest underground producers in Chicago but eventually headed south for a stint in college and the military. Once south, he was introduced to that deep southern soul swag and created his own unique sound that many artists found beautifully complemented trap music. Having trouble finding the right artist to bring his lyrical visions to life, Lucid began spitting on own tracks. After doing this as a hobby for a couple of years, he decided to level up and focus on his craft full-time. He wrote, performed, produced, and engineered his first complete mixtape, "Sweet Lucy," in 2017, which is a creative culmination of Lucid’s life experiences. The mixtape is named after his rescue cat, Lucy Misu.
