简介
The recordings on this album were mostly compiled in 1995 from England's 'unreleased' material. This was owing to public demand, following the very slow success of the Garden Shed album (1977). The band recorded four new compositions in 1978, just as they were feeling the pressure of the UK punk scene, and losing their manager & funding. A new bass player, Jaffa had joined and this resulted in a more lively rhythm section. The band went on to perform live in 1978... but with yet another bass player: eventually being forced to disband ---while the musicians followed up other musical ventures. Robert with Jenny Darren, Jode with Greg Lake, Martin with Jeff Beck and Frank (a little later) with The Pretty Things. The band re-emerged for a short period in 1982 with John Young (of Lifesigns) on keyboards. More recently Robert put the band back together for concerts in Japan (2006) and Mexico (the Baja Prog Festival): a 'live' perfomance of part of 'The Imperial Hotel' is included in this 'Bonus Track Version' together with two rehearsal recordings from the 70s. A truly rare collection of superb music.
