简介
Why stealing a Bee Gees song title? We mad up few stories about it, feel free to choose your favorite one : 1 Frank Agrario was asked to make some 70's inspired disco track for a french movie. While he was recording the track, his drum machine crushed. He wasn't able to replace it and decide to ask Funkabit to drum along the song, this story resembles the one the Gees used except that the drummer and the drum machine roles were reversed. 2 The first demo of this track contained Frank "famous falsetto", later the two producers realized that it sounded more like a strangled duck than the voice of Bee Gees they were trying to achieve. 3 Funkabit's mum used to date one of the Gees (Maurice), there are evidence clearly pointing him as father, "daddy come back, i miss you" 4 Frank was once asked for a threesome with Barry and Robin, he always said that he didn't join in, this experience marked his life forever. 5 The track contains a sample from Bee Gees' hit single, 100 euros to the one that can spot it. Stayin' alive is a declaration of love to Italo disco. Bouncy 4/4 beats and electric bass groove in the Bootsy Collins style, Italo Vocals and catchy analog synth lead, exactly what you expect from someone that was born in the Gaznevada neighbourhood. If you were dancing at the beginning of the millennium you certainly remember about Scanty Sandwich and his hit single "Because of you" on southern fried. Well, Scanty delivered an electro version of the track so British that you see the Union Jack while dancing, definitely a big room smasher. If Bologna was once the crib of italo disco, nowadays the epicenter is located between Belgium and Norway, in fact the Belgian Le Babar rmx is groovy, slower than the original, fatter than the original and with lots of filters for a dramatic effect on the dancefloor, a must for the disco freaks. Funkabit goes funky again, pure funky house, I can see some smiling sweaty people on the floor. Frank Agrario should have been influenced by his French diet, his rmx sound like Alan Braxe after a big joint in his studio in Paris - warm, deep and melodic.
