It is important that we help this generation to connect with the hymns that were passed on to us by our parents and grandparents. The hymns, no matter how old, still have as much power and relevance to our lives today as they did the day they were written. In a day where congregational singing has been replaced with praise and worship teams, and the hymnal with lyrics on screen, we find a generation of young people who don't know the words to "Amazing Grace" or "I Surrender All." Therefore, it is with a great sense of urgency that I responded to the call of God to record and produce this first volume of hymns to pass on to my children and yours.
