简介
“If T. Buckley’s songwriting prowess is an untapped secret, it won’t be for long.” - FFWD Weekly T. Buckley is a roots artist in the true sense of the word, combining stylings of Country, Folk and Rock'n'Roll. Buckley can take hold of a young audience with edgy roots-rock and captivate traditional music lovers with timeless melodies. Buckley has been honing his craft for several years and in that time has played over 250 shows, in churches, folk clubs, seniors’ homes, pubs, backyards, and folk festivals. His powerful songwriting and engaging stage presence win over audiences time and time again. In November 2010, T. Buckley released his latest recording, Roll On, which immediately topped music charts on CKUA Radio (Alberta). This album includes, Walkin’ Home¸ winner of the 2010 Calgary Folk Music Festival’s songwriting competition. Roll On grabbed the attention of CBC’s notable critic, Bob Mersereau, who described Buckley as an, "authentic roots performer who worries about the song first, the performance second, the audience next and the image last. Roll On is filled with strong images, concise writing and memorable melodies." Named by FFWD Weekly as one of Calgary’s top emerging artists of 2010, Buckley continues to make a splash on the Western Canadian roots music scene playing at prestigious venues and festivals such as the 2011 Calgary Folk Music Festival, the 2011 South Country Fair and The Bow Valley Folk Club. “2010 may very well be the year in which the dam bursts and the rest of Calgary – let alone western Canada and beyond – fall in love with this singer-songwriter talent.” - Sebastian Buzzalino, BEATROUTE
