David started singing at the age of 8. He sang in church and then at the age of 17 he performed at the state convention in New Orleans, La. He attended Grambling State University for a while and there he performed for the BET tour. David changed courses in life and since food is a love of his he ended up getting his certification in Culinary Arts. In 2007 he tried out for American Idol in Dallas, TX, he was told his was very good, but it just wasn't the right time for his style. In 2008 he tried to make music on his own, but it just really didn't take off, he wasn't satisfied with the work and simply moved on. In 2009 he tried it again and this time he handed out his Cd's for free to anyone who wanted to listen. In 2010 things started picking up for him, people were showing more interest, in what he was doing. In 2010 he signed his first contract and made his first music video with the help of his then wife. After this as it sometimes happens in the music business David lost most everything he had worked for. People who were there when the money was coming in suddenly were not. It's not until now after laying low for a while that David is ready to come back and perform again. He hopes to make more music in the future god willing, because after all it is his passion.
