"I promise not to destroy my life for a song. 'Cause if I have to be away from you, three minutes is just too long." This album is based on being able to write songs after finding happiness and having someone to share it with. Most of these songs were written before, during, and after gigs. Playing up to six shows a week, sometimes twice a day, I fell in love with writing music again. I love the gift of being able to play music (my songs) for a living. Some songs are fiction (White Gold) and some are so real that there are nights when it's hard to play them (Coffee Eyes). With the help of Marcus Weeden as producer and bass player, and bringing in amazing local players as well as Dan Tomlinson on drums (Lyle Lovett), I'm very proud of this album and excited for everyone to hear it.
