Dee, the true producer at age 29, has been making beats since the company started 6 years ago. His influential producers include Rza of Wu-Tang, Kanye West, Timberland and a host of others. Though having these talents as his influences, he still maintains his own style as a sampler or keyboardist. This beat smith favors the Akai MPC 4000 and Kong's Triton along with a Yamaha Motif rack, along with a slew of classic cd's. Abdul-Badi, the elder of the two by a year, on the other hand makes beats. Coming from cutting and scratching - dj'ing. Abdul-Badi has been messing in music since 1997. A fan of Gangster, M.O.P., Pete Rock, classic Mobb Deep and others. A true sampler at most. Now favors an MPC 2000 triggering an Akai Z4 rack mount sampler and other sound synth modules. Dj'ed his way to making beats to banging the boards. Abdul-Badi also does the mixing and engineering in house for these Phanatiks. Combined these two make InstraMentalz. Independents who work major.
