Julia Breanetta Simpson is a professional singer and actress who has performed throughout the nation at Regional, Dinner, Stock and Off-Broadway Theatres as well as New York City Cabarets. Her first CD, “Here’s To Life!” is an off-shoot of her one-woman show, Harlem On My Mind which celebrates music of the 1920s and 30’s Harlem Renaissance. “Here’s To Life!” includes jazz, standards, the blues and vaudeville. Julia pays homage to some of the greatest artist of all time, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, “Duke” Ellington, Thomas “Fats” Waller and Shirley Horne.
