This was a super fun collaboration between friends that has a great story behind it. Four of my fellow graduates from full sail University and I have maintained an incredible working relationship despite our geographical differences. Joel benites produced and wrote the instrumental and his lyrics in 2012 as a final project for our Songwriting and Development class. Our good friend Enzo Bogani reminded us all of keep doing's catchy essence when he messaged it to all of us several months after graduation. I was immediately inspired to write and record my verse so that we could bring this remarkable piece of music to fruition. After recording, I sent my vocals to Joel so that he could mix them in the original session with the beat and lyrics. After about five progressive mixes I was delivered a final mix on which I was to apply the master before release. Keep doing came together in a short period of time and was a lot of fun to make and I think it has a good message behind it.
