A random connection via social media, Anthony Avery and I met while I sought information about his music society. Shortly thereafter, he reached out to me to produce some music with him, and invited me to sing at his single release event in December 2015. We clicked from there, and have been working together since then…Luv 2 Luv Part 1 and Part 2 are the results. Anthony wrote a vocal vamp and lyrics for Luv 2 Luv, to which I produced and arranged an uptempo, 80’s style R+B, synth/pop/dance arrangement, version with a hint of jazz to round it out (Part 2) . Part 1 is a smooth, jazzy, soulful arrangement that Anthony and Joseph Sothern produced and arranged. Once we completed the collaboration, we said to each other, “Wow! Yo, we need to release both of these tracks on one EP!" And reminiscent of how Brandy and Monica released The Boy is Mine (featuring their duet on each of their releases back in 1998), both versions of Luv 2 Luv will be included on our respective music projects (Anthony Avery's Breaking Free Album coming out June 4, 2016, and my project, The Multitude of My Thoughts-2016 release).
